The pitch
The cricket pitch is
considered the key component of a match. The fundamental principle is that you
cannot play a good game if the of the groundsmen and the soil composition of
the particular area. Soil composition is something that cannot be completely
manipulated; however the groundsmen can be trained and supervised. Many cricket
boards have already taken initiative to give a series of seminars to
groundsmen, search for sources of good quality clay for each of the fields and
also provide the necessary equipments to measure the bounce and pace of the
pitches.
